Crab spider? - Xysticus

Crab spider? - Xysticus
Caspers Wilderness Park, Orange County, California, USA
June 27, 2006
Found on wild rose, near noshing longhorns

Moved
Moved from Crab Spiders.

I
am not an expert, but it defenitly looks like it is in the crab spider family. Im not sure which species of crab spider though. It may be in the genus Xysticus

Looks right; we'll see.
Thanks for pointing me there. I had a rather narrow idea of what a crab spider was, and this recent one didn't fit the bill. You've helped expand my horizons, if nothing else. (I do think you're right.)
