There are often nice Trichoptera images that I cannot place even to family, let alone genus/species. If you don't keep the critter, determinations are going to be a continuing problem with caddis. In the vast majority of caddis you cannot determine lower taxonomy based on photos.

But the pictures are great and show the diversity (of both the critters and their coloration), even if we don't know the names. I always hope the pictures will show people stuff they should care about. They need to pay more attention to these small critters, what they do, and who they are. And more people are starting to keep critters so they can get species names on their photos. Good photos are a lot of work, they deserve names and preservation for future generations.
