Seriously? Out of your firewood . . .?
. . . . inside the house . . . ?!! OK. That would creep me out. How big is this critter?

 
The leg span was maybe 2 inches
Luckily I spotted it as I was carrying the wood in. I'm glad I saw it before I brought it inside

Your photo is so good the danged thing looked MONSTROUS.
I was thinking 5 inches at least :) Trust me. It'd given me the willies regardless, but like Lynette says . . . we gotta learn to appreciate these wonderful critters - even when they surprise us.
