Beetle - Amphizoa insolens
Sitka County, Alaska, USA

This beetle was found crawling on a log over a stream. It's been long enough I don't remember for sure, but I think it seemed pretty comfortable going along in the water, also. I browsed through the water beetles on the guide, but couldn't find anything that seemed to match.
