Okay, Sean McCann... I think I found more of the species you were looking for, as I said I would. Luckily, for photography reasons, there is a marsh growing in the ditch next door to me due to it being a construction site at the present moment. I didn't realize, until today, that the marsh area was so infested with these mosquitoes. They'll be there at least until the lawn is mowed down again. ;)

I apologize for the quality of these images since I don't have a macro lens as of yet. I know it would make a huge difference in the overall quality and detail of the image(s).

Sex difference
I'd like to know, for my own good, what differentiates the fe/male in this species. Could you explain? Thanks! :)

With the vast majority of mosquitoes, the male antennae are feathery (mechanoreceptors for hearing and finding females). In addition, the palps of male culicines will be longer than those of the female. (In Anophelines this is moot, as females have long palps too).
Many times you can also see external genitalia on the terminal abdominal segment in males.
