I am fairly certain this is not L. nearcticus, whose queens look much like those of L. neoniger (though yellower). Otherwise -- what Richard said.
Indeed, there are apparently two species which key to L. umbratus itself, as well as a couple of other close relatives, in eastern USA.

Lasius sp.. (umbratus group) - winged female
Maybe the widespread L. nearcticus. Species of this group are very difficult here in Western Europe too, where three very similar species exist besides L. umbratus itself.
