Hairstreak chrysalis
This is the chrysalis of a hairstreak butterfly, pretty sure, like the banded, or hickory.

Glad to help. Moving to guide page. I reared a couple of banded hairstreaks from this kind of chrysalis once. Hardest part was snipping off the stinging nettle leaf....ouch:-)
