A rare species; have spent a great deal of time looking at dragonflies in south Texas, but until this day I had never seen this one. Saw one male and one female near what might be the Lower Rio Grande Valley's only wooded stream. This male appeared to be on territory in the middle of the stream, just downhill from the female.
