Any idea of this species would be appreciated. My thought is Tegenaria gigantea.

If this is from Victoria, I would say it is either T. agrestis or T. gigantea, both introduced from Europe. Agrestis is known as the Hobo spider and gigantea is the Giant House Spider. They are really cool. Make excellent captives.

Definitely a male Agelenidae, and nice shot of it:-) Tegenaria is probably the right genus, but this family is notoriously difficult to ID, even from specimens.
