a lot of pix of this common species in the guide already
suggest frassing

Pix, observation data, and frass?
As I am new to BugGuide, please pardon any ignorance. If the photo is moved to frass, is the observation data eliminated as well i.e. eliminated from the "knowledgebase"? I see this is the only yellow specimen observed in Nevada in July.

Please crop your pic
closer to "just the bug." Only you and the editors can see the full-size image. Everyone else is left looking at a tiny beetle in a lot of unnecessary background.

If you click on "edit" and upload a cropped version, it will replace the current image.

Thanks!

Croppn my pic!
Sure! No problemo! Appreciate the thoughtful comment and direction!
