Bee Assassin - Apiomerus spissipes

Bee Assassin - Apiomerus spissipes
Las Trampas Regional Wilderness Area, San Ramon, California, USA
New for California

Can you add a date to this, Will?
Looks like late June/early July.

in a day or two
I'll do it as soon as I can

Thanks; no rush really.
I'm trying to make sense out of two species, via questions on a recent post. It's probable that I've mislabled at least one of my earlier specimens.

ummmm
dont go by this, I never got this confirmed as spissipes or crassipes

We're in the same boat. (I'm trying to bail!)
A local bug expert said "bee assassin", and when I posted I didn't notice there were two. Then I did it again, with the opposite result. Oh, something is amiss.

Will let you know what I find out.
