Mela*ndryid? - Canifa pallipes
Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA

Size: about 3 mm
Came to UV/MV lights.

I've been getting quite a few brown oblong species that I think will all turn out to be mel*andryids. This one was exceptional in being smaller than most. Hear it stands on an expired rove beetle.

must be C. pallipes (Melsheimer)

Yes it is suffering :-(
but I'm happy about finding an adult scraptiid. Now that you mention it, the head does look a lot like that of the one Tom found.
