three lllllong antennomeres - Ernobius

three lllllong antennomeres - Ernobius
Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
July 2, 2006
Size: 3 mm est.
Came to UV lights. Can't find dorsal view image. But those three long antennomeres ought to help ID it, dorsal view or no.

Moved

genus Ernobius
Hi Jim,
this sure is not Ernobius mollis, but one of your native species - I can´t tell which one.

cheers, Boris

Thank you, Boris.
I'm quite excited about your assistance with bugguide beetles. I think it's great!

There are four Ernobius spp. listed on the University of New Hampshire checklist for this state (thus far). Besides the one you mention are Ernobius filic*ornis, par*vus, and tenui*cornis. (Asterisks are to prevent this image from being shown in searches for those names.) I am a notorius bet loser but I'd put my money on filic*ornis due to the nature of the antennae. Meanwhile I'll place this on the genus page.
