Moved
Moved from Cercopeus.

ID
Cercopeus komareki O'Brien Common in Tallahassee in winter. Found in Leaf litter in vacant lots throughout the city.I have another 25+ new apecies from the Southern US.

awesome; thanks again, Charlie!

Cercopeus sp.; any number of spp. in the southeast :(
great many unnamed, too: 6 new spp. recently described from SC(1), and there is no end in sight
Moved from ID Request.

komarecki
is known from GA and FL and Leon Co. in FL according to Peck and Thomas' FL checklist, but another one of the spp in the reference you cited is known from Jackson Co., which isn't too far away. Glad I saved the specimen, as I'd assumed that it had to be something common since it was in the house. Thanks a lot for replying and especially for posting the reference!

pleasure is all mine, Dave: i always enjoy your fine work
...and would love seeing more of it.
ask the FSCA guys: i expect them to have tons of Cerc. (berlese/sifting, etc.) in their holdings, and since Charlie O'Brien's team did the SC fauna, other adjacent states' must be in their plans, too

thanks a lot for the kind words
I'll see if I can get this mounted and get pics of some of the key characters, as even if this one can't be ID'd to sp from photos, pictures of diagnostic characters may help in the future. It did not look like the picture of komarecki from the pub, but who knows? Thanks again.
