Mike, could you please start your series of beetle images by uploading dorsal habitus first? 'cuz it's where the commentors gravitate
lateral is the second most important angle in curcs, mordellids, bostrychids, and a few other groups, but in most cases the preferred image order would be dorsal-ventral-lateral

this is a kinda weird [yet perfectly dull at the same time] teneb of what seems to be transcontinental but spotty distribution
the infinite diversity of dullness is one of the most exciting peculiarities of this family. gotta love it.
