bee/wasp nest?

bee/wasp nest?
paoli, orange County, Indiana, USA
February 29, 2012
Size: each "cell" about 1cm lo
Had some wooden trim boards stacked in tool shed for about 9 months; when broken apart today, found these brood cells (?) Possible to ID the maker?

Moved from ID Request.
I would think Megachilinae; let's see what Dr. Ascher says. If you saved these, you'd probably get to see some adults.

Resin bees, perhaps?
They bear a resemblance to these.

I'm sure there are other possibilities as well.

thanks ken
they do look very similar. "resin bee" is new to me; i'll have to do some research.
