What gorgeous photos! I will have to get back to you with an ID when I have my keys with me. It is something in the Ochlerotatus excrucians complex though, which may mean it can't be ID'ed from pictures.

Thanks for the kind comment. I think it's mostly the persistence attachment, available for all cameras. And, of course, I have to thank the rhody for the background.

We certainly have our share of mosquitoes in the spring and summer!
