Spider Found in Flower Bed - Tetragnatha
Creighton, Northern, Saskatchewan, Canada
July 3, 2006
Size: 5 - 7 mm
This one used its two very long front legs as feelers (kind of) and constantly kept moving them around. Then kept sticking its abdomen up in the air. Anybody have any ideas?

Transportation
Spiders often stand in this position, release silk out into the wind, and when the strand gets long enough, there's enough lift to take them away on the wind to a new location! As good as a hot air balloon!
