We saw this in a Tan Bark Oak twig, in a dark part of this forest.

Moved from ID Request. I went ahead and moved here since it's the only species listed on Steve Lew's list for CA.

genus Diaea! Cool!
Would have to check through the literature to be sure which species, but this is definitely genus Diaea. Nice addition to the guide!
