Size: Length ~ 1.5 cm
Unseasonably warm temperatures (with highs in the low-70s and lows in the mid-40s) have encouraged the early emergence of ovewintering moths. This example looks like it may be a male Spring Cankerworm Moth (6662). I'll post three other images of this species, each photograph representing a different specimen, to show phenotypic variation. I photographed this species in this area last year, April 2011 (see thumb photo below).
