Sawfly - Dolerus unicolor

Sawfly - Dolerus unicolor
Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, USA
March 18, 2012
Size: 7-8mm
Is this a species of spider wasp? We've had record-breaking heat in Wisconsin; this is the first wasp I've seen this year. The size is a guesstimate.
