Did you see any yellow spots on the abdomen?
The teeth of the PM line are also different and March would be a little early for your area for M. rustica.

 
I thought that, but ...
my dog thought differently. She's generally pretty good with larger moths and birds. Fortunately, I had collected for BOLD and shot in my light tent, replacing the poor original.

im really mad at the east..i haveonly had 2 nights of moths the whole year and now...its snowing again. i'm so envious of these particular moths i would love to see one! they are huge arent they?

ill be a little closer in a few weeks..im moving to Whineoming..woopie ti yi yi, id love to come i really would, but..itsa little too far for this year..but in a few years i will make a big loop and i will let you know when i am heading that way..
