Neon orange springtails - Vitronura giselae

As an experiment this winter, I began "cultivating" a Fuligo septica slime mold colony on a mulch pile at the park where I work. The unseasonably warm weather allowed it to endure for months, and it attracted a staggering assortment of fauna. These springtails would emerge from the mulch after it rained.
