Stonefly

Stonefly
Sierra City, Sierra County, California, USA
June 26, 2006
This is the first stonefly in the guide from California.

Identified to family
by Don Chandler.

Geography
Most of the regulars like me are from the warm, dry southern and central coastal areas, so the northern and higher-elevation areas are serously under-represented.

Still, I'm surprised there haven't been more pictures posted from people visiting there on vacation. Maybe you'll inspire some people with your images.

OK
It was really nice up there. Especially in the higher elevations where the temps were in the 70's instead of 100 in the valleys.
