Slug moth - Tortricidia pallida - female

Slug moth - Tortricidia pallida - Female
Athens/ Sandy Creek Park, Clarke County, Georgia, USA
September 3, 2011
Tortricidia? I kept her overnight in a glass container, and she laid eggs; unfortunately, though, they never hatched.

Moved
Moved from Slug Caterpillar Moths.

possibly Tortricidia pallida based on location , but T. flexuosa can be lightly marked. I see Bug Guide is placing all lightly marked photos as T. pallida.

BOLD has the two species distinguished by DNA, so it appears there are two species despite thoughts of a single one. I hope you get another chance at rearing these cool moths!
Thanks
