Tachinid fly?

Saw it sit for over an hour on those little white flowers, apparently feeding on the pollen or nectar. It had whitish markings on abdomen and long hairs. Any help in identifying is appreciated.

Tachinid, yes.
Certainly a tachinid. Maybe a more specialised dipterist can give you an idea of the genus, but I do not think that will be easy.
