Robber Fly with Prey - Asilus sericeus

Robber Fly with Prey - Asilus sericeus

Great colors on this Robber. She had just captured the moth which, haplessly, is peering towards the camera lens. Any ID on this Robber Fly? Thanks.

Asilus
Looks like Asilus sericeus female. The only remaining member of the true Asilus genus in the US. They are Lepidoptera lovers.

Thanks, Herschel. Appreciate
