I believe this to be a Monarch but I understand there are more than one type. I don't know what the yellow one is called.
I saw these two fellows just as I was to turn the sprinkler on, I was so excited that I didn't setup the tripod.

and this is a male - you can see the black dots on the hind wings, which are its scent glands. See
