Belostoma sp. - Belostoma - male

Belostoma sp. - Belostoma - Male
Valdosta, Lowndes County, Georgia, USA
March 12, 2012
Size: Well under an inch.
Perhaps genus Belostoma? Any help would be greatly appreciated. The insect was caught dip netting a canal in Grand Bay Wildlife Management Area in mid-March 2012. There were many of these arthropods in the water, though not too many with eggs on the back.
