What type of Longhorn? - Pyractomena

Poor quality shot but it kind of reminded me of a firefly.

Moved
Moved from Beetles.

Firefly.
This is indeed a firefly, in the genus Pyractomena. They look very distinctive after you have seen a few of them:-) Wish I could be more specific...well, the pronotal shield is more boldly marked than in the more common Photinus and Photuris, and much more triangular in shape, too. Neat find.

Diurnal Firefly
I believe this to be a Diurnal Firefly. Use http://bugguide.net/node/view/13416 to compare.

I think it is
It looks like a fire fly to me...look at Photo#38431...looks the same

Thanks Jim but..
How do I search out one single photo in bugguide?

Thanks.

Heh, Nevermind :)
Yep, I guess my first assumption was the correct one.
Thanks!
