Hoverer - Anthrax argyropygus

Hoverer - Anthrax argyropygus
Brandywine, Prince George's County, Maryland, USA
July 9, 2006
Size: smallish

Moved
Moved from Bee Flies.

Anthrax argyropygus
This is indeed Anthrax, and based on the wing shape and pattern it is A. argyropygus.

Moved
Moved from Flies.

Bombyliid Fly
Bee Fly. (Exoprosopa?)

Right Family.
Adalbert is right about the family, maybe the genus, too, but it reminds me a little more of the genus Anthrax.
