Moved
Moved from Four-spotted Yellowneck Moth in relation to the issue raised by Steve Nanz. I see one record from New Brunswick which was actually dissected and confirmed as O. novimundi, but of several specimens collected in Massachusetts and dissected by the state's most experienced moth authority, every single one so far has been deauratella. Every record submitted to the guide from New England, if not the entire country, should probably be moved up to the genus level unless confirmed by dissection or bar-coding, or photographed in a state where only one of the two species has been confirmed to occur.

or Oegoconia deauratella?
Dissection required for separation. I understand that as of 2013, there were no known records of O. novimundi from eastern Canada although there is a confirmed record from Maine.(1)
