Braconid Wasp - Aphidiinae

Braconid Wasp - Aphidiinae
Newport near Banning Park, New Castle County, Delaware, USA
April 11, 2012
Size: 2mm (2.5mm at most)
Would like to know for my notes if this could be » Braconid Wasps (Braconidae) » Aphidiinae?

Keep finding these (or similar) with Macrosiphini aphids on Purple Deadnettle (Lamium purpureum).

Looking at flies got me nowhere. Reading about aphids got me started in the right direction. (sigh)

this could be record for DE if pic deemed good enough
If it's going to be frassed, someone else will have to do it. :o)

Agree…
When you magnify the image out, you can see the wing venation better which clearly suggests Aphidiinae. The size is also dead on.

See reference here.

(speechless)
... for only a moment. It took a while to see what you were talking about, but eventually I could make out the dark "V" lines and the yellowish triangular patches. I'm so glad there was no antenna-segment-counting involved in this ID. TY.
