Florida Bark Scorpion - Centruroides hentzi

Florida Bark Scorpion - Centruroides hentzi
Camp Dorothy Thomas Girl Scout Camp, Hillsborough County, Florida, USA
April 14, 2012
Size: 15 mm w/o tail, 28 with
This scorpion was given to me from a Brownie (Jr. Girl Scout). She told me it crawled out of her clothes while her mother was filling the washing machine. It didn't like the water and floated to the top. Fortunately for this one, it was spotted by Mom and saved to live another day. It is a survivor.
