When first seen it was on a leaf and none of the body was visible. By waiting while it climbed stems, I was able to get some side shots.

Nice shot, Rob! This has to be a green lacewing larva (family Chrysopidae), as brown lacewing larvae are never 'trash carriers.'

 
I had thought (hoped) it migh
I had thought (hoped) it might be something different. Do the larvae of this family differ more than the adults? All of the latter that I have encountered look alike to my untrained eye. While this creature appears different in markings as well as in its camouflaging habit, compared to what I usually encounter such as this other one. (Chrysopa, I believe)
