Size: Long!
I'm thinking hanging fly? Very interesting behavior of flouncing up and down in a "swinging" motion when disturbed, then settling in this long, streamlined position.

It is a crane fly
of Brachypremna dispellens . They perfom a elabrate dance and has been called the "King of the Dancer".
