Ichneumon - male - female

Ichneumon - Male Female
Rehoboth Beach, Junction and Breakwater Trail, Sussex County, Delaware, USA
April 20, 2012
A female ichneumon was sitting under a leaf, and just as I took this shot, a male flew in and tried to mate. They quickly flew away after a few shots, and this was the only one that showed anything useful.

Moved
After thinking about this, I changed my mind. The triangular areolet and the shape of the tip of the female metasoma may suggest something like Coleocentrus.

Moved from Ants, Bees, Wasps and Sawflies.
