Pissonotus
Probably Pissonotus basalis. If this identification is correct, it is a new record for Mississippi. If it is incorrect, it may represent a species new to science (the color pattern is not exact for P. basalis). It would be very helpful if you could collect a series of specimens into alcohol for scientific examination!

Thanks Andy,
This is exciting! I did preserve this specimen. We are planning a trip to the site in MS sometime during the next several days and will make an effort to collect a series.

The specimen was collected by Linda Auld of New Orleans and presented to us.
