Flesh Fly - Sarcophaga
25mi NNW of Pagosa Springs, Colorado, USA

I'm pretty sure this is a flesh fly, family Sarcophagidae. That's as far as my keys take me.

I agree.
Assuming it was fairly sizable, then genus Sarcophaga. Moving to that guide page.

It kind of looks like some of
It kind of looks like some of the Muscoidea too.. But then again i'm in no way any athority of flies. I just reminds me of one I saw a few weeks ago.
