Beautiful and beetlecidal - Enoclerus muttkowskii

Beautiful and beetlecidal - Enoclerus muttkowskii
Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
July 9, 2006
Size: 12.5 - 13 mm
The clerid had been cooped inside my small pocket vial for six hours or so. It drank readily from a squirt of water I sprayed into the light arena container. Then it groomed itself. Sap beetles ran to and fro looking for egress. One apparently made it over the top.
