Unidentified specimen - Erynnis persius - male

Unidentified specimen - Erynnis persius - Male
Glacier National Park, Lone Pine Prairie, Flathead County, Montana, USA
June 2, 1988
Size: 33 X 22 mm
This unidentified specimen is housed in the Glacier National Park Archive. It was collected by Dr. Diane Debinski at Lone Pine Prairie, a small west side mesic meadow in the Northfork region of the park surrounded by forest (this collection came a few months before the Red Bench Fire burned in this area). The specimen is possibly genus Erynnis (Duskywing)? Will appreciate help identifying species.

definitely not E. icelus
It does look like a dark E. persius, which should also be in the area.

ID
Definitely Erynnis, there aren't a lot of markings to get it to species, but I think its most likely Erynnis persius

Glacier species
After conducting a quick review of records in Glacier National Park, I can find no reference to Erynnis persius. However, Erynnis icelus (Dreamy Duskywing) is represented in park archives. A specimen collected in 1935 is in a deteriorated state, but is similar in size and visible markings. Is it possible that the specimen above is icelus?

Unfortunately, the butterfly survey conducted in the 1980s did not include skippers.
