Green-eyed insect - Diogmites

Green-eyed insect - Diogmites
White Pocket, Vermillion Cliffs National Monument, Arizona, USA
August 19, 2011
I'm not sure what this is - at first I thought it was a Cuckoo Bee, then a Sand Wasp, then maybe a Stilleto Fly, but it doesn't seem to fit any of them. Any help would be appreciated.

Diogmites
Looks like angustipennis or bilobatus.

Thanks so much
Your help is really appreciated. I've looked so many places and still didn't find anything that fit. I hope next time I run into this fly I can get a better photo.

Robberfly
perhaps Diogmites sp.
