I think I found this one in my book. Is it a Drone Fly? Has a couple of distinct markings and features that I'm sure will make for easy ID from the experts here. Thanks.

Drone fly, yes
Looks conspicuously like the drone fly Eristalis tenax, that is very common in Europe and also found in North America.
