I would like to know as well. I have had a yellow one ID'd, this may be the Male.

You're quite right about the species, it is Symetrum pallipes, but the sex is female.

Wow! This is a stumper! Do you have any other photos from another angle? If so would you paste them on ID Request? We can't decide if we're looking at yellow stripes on the thorax or a solid yellow thorax with wing shadows spread over it, etc. The first would push us in the direction of Sympetrum pallipes, but....

I have a few shots of it but don't think the others will help much. Will put a top view in but haven't any that show what you want.
