White moth to ID if possible. - Hemithea aestivaria
Victoria, British Columbia, Canada
July 15, 2006
This moth was resting on a large green leaf so it may have got a greenish cast. It is probably whitish. Any information about it would be helpful, thanks.

7083 - Hemithea aestivaria
The only green Geometrid moth in North America found west of the Great Plains and having sharply angled hind wings. First collected in N.A. in 1979, the population was centered on Vancouver, BC and expected by Ferguson (MONA Fascicle 18.1, 1985) to spread from there. It is very widespread in Europe and Asia. Please email BPatter789@aol.com regarding permission to display your moth photos also on plates at Moth Photographers Group. Thanks, B.P.
