Widow Skimmer
A young male Widow Skimmer that has not yet developed the pruinosity that will make the front of the thorax and abdomen look pale blue or white in a few days. Right now, the black and yellow pattern of the thorax and abdomen looks like the female Widow Skimmer, but the white patches on the wings define it as a male, even if--as here--the terminal appendages are partly obscured or out of focus.
