Size: inch or less
In our yard which is bordered by madrone forest, in the Siskiyous about 2500 feet in elevation.

Teneral R. ventralis...
but no concrete idea as to subspecies.

actually, that's the only way
we pick bugs to study them -- and usually prefer those we don't know anything about )))
however, those that may cause any significant harm are very few and far between, so it doesn't take much bravery
