Erythrina variegata - Sunshine Tree Problem

Erythrina variegata - Sunshine Tree Problem
Coral Springs, Broward County, Florida, USA
May 12, 2012
This happens to my tree every year for the past 3 years. The ends of the branches swell up and then the new leaves come out curled and deformed. Nothing ever seem to hatch out of them. I broke one open and nothing appeared to be inside. It is an Erythrina variegata - Sunshine Tree. The tree grew very quickly the first year I planted it but has not seemed to grow at all since this started happening. Any ideas what it might be and what I should do about it? Thanks!

Problem solved
I just found out what is wrong with my tree. Is has Erythrina Gall Wasp for which there is no cure unless someone happens to have some parasitic wasps that feed on Erythrina gall wasps that they could send me? Aughhhh!!!
