Some Spider - Herpyllus ecclesiasticus

Some Spider - Herpyllus ecclesiasticus
Omaha, Nebraska County, Nebraska, USA
May 19, 2012
I -think- it might be a she. I've found this type of spider like two times before only, and they were a little slimmer/smaller, so that's why I'm thinking. My cats found this spider walking across my floor in the basement here around 9pm. They weren't doing anything to her, just looking and following it around. I quickly grabbed something to put her in. So, today I decided to take a picture and ask what type of spider this may be. I'm so interested in spiders and stuff and seeing as I've seen this spider twice before in my basement, I'm just curious. She might be a tad bit bigger than a dime, counting her legs all up or what-not. Sadly though, this spider only has two legs on one side, something must have happened. She's like a dark-ish grey, her legs are almost reddish looking and the stripe is like an off-white or so. Her whole under-abdomen is that same color.
