Identification confirmed. The larvae of this species have been suggested as Batesian mimics of velvet ants, see: Brach, V. 1978. Brachynemurus nebulosus (Neuroptera: Myrmeleontidae): a possible Batesian mimic of Florida mutillid wasps (Hymenoptera: Mutillidae). Entomological News, Philadelphia 89:153-156.
